PROGRAMME INTRODUCTION |
Winfield International College provides a Certificate in English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Students learn about normal English conversation, grammar and business presentation skills. Each semester is three months long, and students are taught for 14 hours each week. Once the subjects are completed, students are awarded a Certificate in English which will enable them to pursue their further education in academic or career path. The college is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which the fastest growing cities in Malaysia, and is the hub to Information Technology. |

Winfield International University is a private college with some unique characteristics. The majority of our students are adults who thrive on the strength of our educational programs while appreciating the flexibility and convenience of our course schedules and services. Certificate in English is available, at our local campus. We strive to have a diverse, multi-cultural student population. Significant portion of our students have come to WIC from different countries around the world. Services are provided to support these students while they improve their English language skills and become acclimated to our environment and culture. While our course schedules may be “non-traditional” in form, our educational model and teaching style can be considered more “traditional”. The English school shares their knowledge through lectures, presentation and class discussion. Students have the opportunity to demonstrate their achievements through individual quizzes, tests, papers, projects and presentations. The Certificate in English promotes innovation and excellence in language learning through research, training and consultancy. We collaborate in and support initiatives within the College and outside to develop and encourage language learning as an essential element in a College education and as a key skill for lifelong learning. This course is intended to help you improve your social and academic communication. Do you all ready have a reasonably good knowledge of all the major areas of grammar and extensive vocabulary? If you can operate confidently and efficiently in a wide range of situations, but would like to improve further, this is the course for you. In this course you can extend your vocabulary, increase your fluency in speaking, develop a more natural command of spoken English, work on improving your pronunciation and grammar, and improve your ability to listen with understanding to spoken text. |
