DIPLOMA IN HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT

PROGRAMME INTRODUCTION

Healthcare Management Diploma is a program tailored to train students the necessary knowledge to manage a hospital, a modern doctor’s office, health insurance offices, convalescent homes among other things. Students will know how to work with patients, and manage the day to day processing of paperwork and administrative duties. They will be equipped with the knowledge needed to work with medical forms and manage the operation of a doctor’s office, medical facility of hospital.

What they do?

Ensure that hospitals and other healthcare organizations serve as safety nets” in their communities by providing emergency and ongoing care, as well as accurate and timely information about public threats in times of crisis. We ensure that students are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge. During their course of study we strategically place them in hospitals, insurance firms, convalescent homes and other relevant places for exposure in practical knowledge and work readiness.

Among other skills the students are taught in spreadsheets, accounting, human resource management, sociology and psychology, business communication, risk management. A well rounded knowledge and information is given to the students to enable them to excel in the careers.

Some of the skills the students will be able to provide the healthcare industry include, Office Administration Skills, Office Management Skills, Employee Management Skills, Employee Communication Skills, Accounting Skills, Critical Thinking Skills, Database Management Skills, Spreadsheet Creation and Management Skills, Crisis Management Skills, Employee Relations Skills, General Managerial Skills and Patient Care Skills. Our Collaboration with various organizations will allow our students to do their studies in various modes; field studies, attachments for exposures which will prepare our students ready for real life career upon their graduation.

MESSAGE FROM PROGRAMME HEAD

The health care management diploma program can be considered a long awaited program. This program educates and train students to be administrator, manager right to chief executive officer of a health institution.

The demand for such personnel has been forecasted that in the next 5 years to be the highest of all field and every health institutions and organizations will require all their staffing to be qualified in all administration within.

All students will be trained with special administrative software, will be sent for field studies instead of classroom lectures, undergo special grooming classes and also will be trained to meet people. Our unique feature in this program is our collaboration with The National Health Promotion Board where our students will be sent for special health promotion programs during their course of study. Our collaboration with Perkeso is another opportunity for our students to understand workers compensation plans and programs as well as administration.

The 3 years of studies will be the most memorable for our students because they will be transformed totally when they leave college.
